September 14 - 17 | Townsend, TN
This year's theme is "Dinner and Movie," with two new films premieres included in our lineup of events: "A Place Called Cades Cove" by Valerie Polk and "An American Legend: Horace Kephart, His Life and Legacy" by Libby Kephart Hargrave. As always, we've scheduled lots of opportunities to learn more about the Smokies, including guided hikes, short walks, bike rides, talks, and more! See the full list below and register soon. Classes tend to fill up fast!
Arrive Early & Get Involved
We had so much fun helping spruce up the Mountain Farm Museum before their festival last year, we plan to return again on Thursday, September 14. Volunteers who join should plan to work hard - cleaning historic cabins, pulling weeds in the traditional garden, setting up event spaces, and marking off parking, just to name a few of things you may be asked to do. The payoff is a feeling of a job well done, plus lunch will be provided.
NEW * NEW * NEW
Lifetime/Installment & Dogwood/Hemlock members are invited to attend a special reception Friday afternoon with our Board of Directors and several National Park Service staff, possibly including GSMNP Superintendent Cassius Cash.
