"Of all the park projects GSMA has supported over the last 61 years, this is one of the very most important," said Executive Director Terry Maddox of yesterday's announcement by US Department of the Interior Secretary Sally Jewel of the development of a 13,000 square-foot Collections Preservation Center in Townsend, TN. Joining in the announcement were Tennessee Senator Lamar Alexander, as well as Acting Smokies Superintendent Pedro Ramos.
